Actions menu
You'll see a floating "Actions" menu at the bottom of the text editor. It includes options to rewrite and improve text, search the internet for citations, and add selections to chat.
Rewrite
After selecting text in the text editor, click “Actions” and then “Rewrite”. Here you can specify exactly how you want to modify the text. Common instructions include things like "make this more formal," "shorten to 100 words," "change the tone to be more casual," or "translate to Spanish".
Find citations
Search the internet for books, research papers and websites based on your selected text by choosing “Find citations” from the Actions menu. You’ll then see a list of files you can add as citations to the document. Once added citations appear both in-text and at the end of the document as fully formatted references. You can change the citation format in settings - currently we support APA, MLA, Chicago and Harvard formats.
Unlike traditional tools like Google Scholar that rely on keyword matching, our search understands semantic meaning. We analyze the meaning of your selected text against the meaning of hundreds of thousands of papers, books, and articles from the web. This results in highly relevant matches and helps you discover related content from different fields that may not share any keywords - something you'd miss with traditional search tools.
Chat with selection
Like the Chat button in the editing menu, this option adds your selected text to the chat window, allowing you to ask questions about specific parts of the your writing.
